  1. So what is it?

[community profile] chillinvillains is a villain-centric, multi-canon Dressing Room community. There are no applications required, however your character must be considered a villain to play here.

  2. What constitutes a villain?

Well, threatening to blow up the planet is a good start. Seriously, though. This is a place for villains, antagonists, and general baddies. If you can honestly look at your canon and say, "Yep, this guy/gal/betentacled-horror is evil," then you're in. Heck, even misunderstood woobies with a hard candy shell and soft gooey interior are fine, but they'll probably get eaten. What aren't allowed are heroes, sidekicks and love-interests.

  3. Can I play an AU version of a hero-gone-bad?

Sure! Just make sure it's clearly labeled as such in your entry tags, and don't be surprised when all the other people in the place give you the stink-eye.

  4. Can I play an OC?

Sure! As long as they're not going to hassle the other characters with a bunch of 'YOU'LL TASTE DEFEAT EVENTUALLY' bullshit, then it's fine.

  5. What's the setting look like?

CV is your basic dark, shady bar in an anonymous part of an anonymous big city. The lights are low, the drink is strong, there's a pool table and a dart board, and if you're feeling particularly evil, karaoke.

  6. What format should we use?

User's choice. Prose and bracketspam are both okay. Please don't overly format your posts, though. I know some Homestucks like to jimmy with their text, and that's fine. All I ask is that you make it readable, and be careful with your coding.

  7. What kind of play is allowed here?

This comm is open to any kind of play, from basic conversation over drinks to flat-out brawls to dark, forbidden trysts in the far corner. Again, per the comm rules, please tag your content appropriately. All illegal content as laid out by the Dreamwidth terms of service is, naturally, not allowed.

  8. What's the policy on fourth-walling?

Meh? This is a multi-canon game, and as a result your character might encounter others who read about you in a comic book. It happens. You're evil, you can figure out a way to handle it.

  9. What's the policy on character death?

Meh? If it's coming down to that, then work something out in advance with the other player(s). Meta-gaming / godmoding falls under the "No OOC Jerkfaces" rule, and any instances of such will be issued a warning.

  10. Who's our Admin?

I'm Lis. You can reach me at couervider at gmail. Or you can send a PM to the [personal profile] cruelladeville admin journal.

In other news, I am absolutely shit at coding/formatting journals to look pretty and nice. If anybody would like to volunteer a format to use for the main comm/profile, I'm definitely open to suggestions.

The rules are simple, loves.

  1. Don't be an OOC jerkface.

IC jerkfaces are literally the name of the game. OOC jerkfaces will be banned after one warning.

  2. No Spamming.

This means no game advertisements, no multiple posts in one day, common sense stuff. Spam journals and posts will be removed, no warning given.

  3. ALL entries must be content tagged.

These are villains; they will not only be discussing Voltaire and eating cronuts. Please put all appropriate warnings on your content. Tags are available to be created by all comm members. Non-tagged entries will be tagged by the admin, or removed if the situation warrants such.

  4. All admin decisions are final.
